Why get tested? Knowing your HIV status is the first step to battling HIV in our city. In the U.S., an estimated 50% of new infections come from the 20% of positive people who do not know their status. By knowing our status we'll be better prepared for how to respond. We encourage everyone to get tested regardless of background, even if you have been tested in the past. This disease is everyone's business and now is the time to act.

Testing is completely free, involves no needles, only a cotton swab in the cheek, with results ready in 20 minutes. Testings sites will be open all day from 9 am to 9 pm.

Those who come to be tested will also receive a free boxed meal.
